Discussion
Valley of the shadow of death =
- A symbolic description of the world, meaning darkness & death are valleys on earth one must walk through, that is, part of the human experience.
- A very dangerous place.
Whatever the current valley of shadow of death in your life may look like you don’t have to fear it.
God is right there next to you walking through it with you.
In the bible the rod was a wooden stick that the shepherd would use to fight off wolves & protect his sheep.
The staff was a long stick with a hook on the end that he would use to rescue his sheep out of holes they fell in.
God is our shepherd & we are His sheep.
We can find comfort knowing He will always protect us & save us.
God has ownership & control over everything in existence.
So why are we worrying?
Trust God’s plan.
